Army's Hospital Equipment Ready for Long Campaign

M. via El Paso, Mar. 20-With nearly two score military ambulances concentrated here and a military field hospital being rushed to completion the American punitive expedition was today preparing for bloody fighting in the mountaninous wastes to the southward. Treats For Veterans At State Hospital
Mrs. Jennie Kopping, Veteran of Foreign Wars department hospital chairman personally presented treats Friday afternoon to 800 veterans at the Elgin State hospital. Each veteran received a package of cigarettes. Mrs. Kopping has done marvelous work in the veterans' wards for the last four years, and has arranged parties, treats and entertainment for 26 veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries.Last evening Mrs. Florence BVates, auxiliary hospital chairman, to post 1307, Veterans of Foreign Wars, arranged a Valentine party given by the auxiliary to 300 veterans of Pershing cottage, Elgin State hospital.
Assisted by members of the auxiliary, Mrs. Bates arranged games, with 35 Valentine packages given as prizes, each containing playing cards, socks, cigarettes and handkerchiefs. As a special treat Valentine packages were presented each veteran contaning candy bars, popcorn, heart-shaped cookies and potato chips.
